girle about veil

you look at me and call me oppressed

simply because the way im dressed

you know me not for what is inside

you judge the clothing i wear with bride

my body is not for your eyes to hold

you must speak to my mind

not to my feminine mould

i am an individual i am no man slave

its Allahs pleasure i only crave

i have a voice so i will be heard

for in my heart i carry his word

O:Ye:women wrap close your cloak

so you will not be bothered by ignorant folk

man does not tell me to dress this way

its law from God that i obay

oppress is some thing i am truly not

for libration is what i have got

it was given to me many years ago

with a right to prosper the right to grow

i can claim mountins or cross the seas

expand my knowledg in all degrees

God gave us the freedom

when he sent Islam for you and me
